Kurashiki

Kurashiki!!  This was by far my most favorite day in Japan. This place was so amazing. There were tons and tons of little Japanese shops. It was so fun to go through all of them and get little gifts for the family :) I enjoyed being here. There was a river that flowed through the street by the shops. You could take a boat ride if you wanted. Also every hour they would perform a traditional wedding. As you can see in these pictures, the girl is wearing a traditional white kimono with the hat. They would go down the river with a funky song and a man playing a flute. It was exciting to watch. By the river there would be people who made their own jewelery and sell it in their own little stands. Also, Tanner took a picture with the boy who was born out of a peach. He had little friends :) The dog, parrot and monkey. That story is pretty interesting. We also had many yummy snow cones! They were so big and so good. This place was beyond amazing. It was fun to get to go here with my husband.

This was a temple located in Kurashiki. It was amazing to see one of these. There was a place where you could put your prayer on a paper, and then place it under your year of your birthday. Also my most favorite trees were around this temple. It was fun to listen to Tanner tell me the history behind this temple. It seemed unreal.
